Speaker Bios

Chantal graduated from the WCVM with a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2000. She worked in a small animal practice for one year following graduation before going back to the college to work as a clinical associate. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Illinois in 2003. She completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine and received board certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2006. 

Since 2006 she has been in Calgary and before heading to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, she practiced full time at Western Veterinary Specialists. She is currently a senior clinical instructor where she teaches students in the lab, classroom, and clinics. 

She is interested in a wide range of internal medicine topics but is most fond of endocrinology with a clinical and research interest in the area of Feline Diabetes Mellitus.
