Dr. Rich Boisvert graduated from the University of Alberta in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Upon graduation he began his career working marine mammals as a dolphin trainer at the Vancouver Aquarium and at West Edmonton Mall. Rich was the training manager at a dolphin swim facility in the Caribbean, and the supervisor of marine mammals at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. These experiences developed an interest in Veterinary Medicine, and in 2013 he graduated with his DVM from the University of Calgary. Prior to his current position as Technical Services Veterinarian with Bayer Animal Health, Rich worked in mixed animal practice at the Strathmore Veterinary Clinic and completed a one year internship in equine medicine and surgery at Moore Equine. Rich has an interest in preventative medicine and public health, and in his spare time he enjoys surfing and cycling.
