Dr. Amy Warren graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Queensland, School of Veterinary Science in Brisbane, Australia in 2001 with first class honors and a university medal. In 2002, she completed and internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine at the Queensland Veterinary Specialist Centre in Brisbane, Australia. In 2003, she started a residency in anatomic pathology at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, NY, USA. Dr. Warren became a Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Pathologists in anatomic pathology in 2006. In 2006-2007, she completed a residency in clinical pathology at Cornell University and became a Diplomate of the AVCP in clinical pathology in 2007. Dr. Warren completed her PhD in Medical Education in 2013 on visual diagnostic reasoning in cytology.  Dr. Warren joined the UCVM in 2008 where she teaches and practices both anatomic and clinical pathology.  She is a member of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists board exam committee.  She is the recipient of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Associations’ Teacher of the Year award (2010) and the Zoetis Carl J Norden Distinguished Teacher award (2012).
